1.Simple Present Tense
Digunakan untuk menyatakan
habitual action atau runitis dan fakta-fakta umum.
Rumus :

(-) S + Do/Does + Not + V1
(?) Do/Does + S + V1
Example:
-He does not study: (Dia tidak
belajar).
-I do not study: (Saya tidak
belajar).
-They do not study: (Mereka tidak
belajar).
-We do not sing: (Kami tidak
bernyanyi).
-Does she sing ?: (Apakah dia
bernyanyi) ?
-He goes to school: (Dia pergi ke
sekolah).
-Does he go to school ?: Apakah
dia pergi kesekolah?
-They go to campus by bus: Mereka
pergi ke kampus memakai bis.
2. Simple Past Tense
Digunakan untuk manyatakan
kalimat yang terjadi dimasa lampau.
Rumus:

(-) S + Did + Not + V1
(?) Did + S + V1
Example:
-They went to campus by bus: (-):
They did not go to campus by bis.
3. Present/Past Continuous Tense
Digunakan untuk menyatakan
kejadian yang sedang berlangsung.
Rumus:
(+) S + Be + Ving
(-) S + Be + Not + Ving
(?) Be + S + Ving
Example:
-They are going to campus by
bus ( pr. Cont )
-She was going to campus by
motorcycle ( past. Continuous )

belum terjadi dimasa yang akan datang.

5. Simple Perfect Tense
Digunakan untuk menyatakan
kejadian yang sudah terjadi dan hasilnya masih terasa/terlihat.

(-) S + Has/Have + Not + V3
